Grading Scale

            You deserve an accurate description of what you’re buying. We try our best to give you that. Our records are visually graded under strong light. If we have also played the record, we will say so. If when you receive your record you disagree with our grading, let us know. If you wish, we’ll take it back and refund your money.   

VINYL GRADING: Goldmine Standard

NM  Nice and glossy with no visible defects. Plays without surface noise.

EX  Has been played but is nice and clean and shows little or no wear

VG+ Shows slight signs of wear, such as light scuffs and scratches, which should not significantly affect the listening experience.

VG  Vinyl has lost its gloss and has light scuffs and scratches. When played the record has surface noise especially in the quieter passages and during intros and fades. This noise should not overpower the music.

We do not sell LPs graded lower than VG.

COVER GRADING:

Any of the following will lower the cover’s grade from NM to VG+ or VG and will be noted in the description: seam splits, peeling, creases, writing or sticker, ring wear.

   All orders are professionally packaged and shipped. Records are protected in clear 3 mm poly-plastic outer sleeves and shipped in new, custom cardboard mailers. We generally ship via USPS Media Mail, within 2 days the order is placed (usually the same day if ordered by 1:00 PM). Unless otherwise noted, please allow 5-7 days for shipping.

            USPS Media mail is a bit slower than Priority Mail, but cheaper and quite reliable. If you need your item quicker, please email us. We’ll provide a quote based on your zip code if you specify a shipping method other than Media Mail. Note that double LPs count as two records.
